• A Krashen book online Principles and Practices This free online book gives the idea of input before output but without the push of perfection. He is against upping the stress and resistance which arises when asked prematurely for output, and urges letting folks enjoy their initial 'silent stage" of language learning. He figures that we learn subconsciously through input and that output just signals to other people to us to make it "comprehensible" buy using caretaker talk, teacher talk or foreigner talk. Very thought provoking material.
