“Not That Hard To Figure Out” (Eccl.1:1-11;Rev.21:5; 1Cor.15:24-28) [Spanish Jerusalem Bible Series - Ecclesiastes sub-series] [Sun Tzu series – general]

Life’s not that hard to figure out, down on tierra’s plane,
Says Solomon, who checked things out, for all remains the same –
“The sun goes up; the sun goes down; the rivers endless run;
The wind blows this way, then turns ’round, and back the breezes come.

“The eyes and ears soak up what’s ’round, and never are full-filled;
If one says, ‘Hey! Here’s something new!’ in past it’s been distilled
Into reality, my friend, for there is nothing new –
The old are not remembered; as will coming-ones be viewed.”

So where does Kingdom-layer fit in? That pin of pinwheel’s whirl?
Its life made new in Christ, by Gar, midst endless earthly swirl;
“Behold, I maketh all things new”, says Jesus at the end;
“We died in Christ, and rose in Him.” – That’s good news that we send.

Christ has one task to finish up – an end to evil bring;
Put down those principalities, at end of powers sing
All praise to God – authorities are at an end on earth;
And we can be a part of this, which brings to life, it’s worth.

For me, at least, and many more – as part of body-life
Christ offers us, it is through such that this all comes to light;
The preacher played his bit-part here, as we can do as well;
It’s in Christ’s larger point of view, of newness we can tell.

But down below the Kingdom-layer, out on the pinwheel’s fins,
The preacher-man is right, indeed – all else in life just spins;
It’s not that Kingdom-life is new, it’s more that it’s re-viewed –
Amazing tapestry of world, made fresh as morning dew.

If you wish to go ’round and ’round like water-cycle curves
Have at ’er – getting to the end, “to dust and ashes” serves
To say to one and all that what is cycling endlessly,
Stays there to cycle ’round once more – tectonic plates and thee.

But there is more – a Kingdom-layer, a pin in pinwheel’s spin;
When all is said and done by Christ, He’ll turn the Kingdom in
To Father-God, Christ’s job well done, so all is “One” once more;
That is Paul’s take on bigger scene – so now you know the score.

So preacher-man was partly right; I’m glad there’s more for all;
For we read on each later page, best news since Adam’s fall;
No, there is evil rampant on the earth, in universe,
But Christ’s engaging, like Sun Tsu has said in twisted verse.

For God the Father sent His Son (Field Marshall for the troops),
Who sends His invitation out – to put on army boots –
Onslaughts of love and care are what He does, as He directs,
His body-members, one and all, at targets He selects.

So, preacher-man, a life renewed from head down to its toes,
Is something new to life on earth, as each, in Kingdom knows;
For we can live on Kingdom-layer, participate as one,
While acting singly, or as group, until Christ’s work is done.

Okay Lord thanks for this.
