“On Thinking Back” [Reflections on Sun Tsu's Art Of War #11 – 19 general]

When I think back, O Lord, this day to when
I asked You for some guidance to what then
I understood as “Evil” for my tomes
(The “Bad guys” I had trouble with – for home –

Of my thought doesn’t dwell there, as my gifts
Lay elsewhere, so I thought I’d be remiss
If I did not address that gap in thought
Before proceeding further – better taught).

Well, now You’ve opened up this aspect new,
Away beyond the aspects which I knew,
Into this interactive flow of life
Between Yourself and satan’s constant strife.

I’d no idea just how vast this is,
Or part You play in doing Father’s biz
Of taking on the “mud” we’ve waded in
As boys in “Rubber boots” in “Garden’s sin”.

I know this is “Awareness” stage for me –
It’s not that now an “expert” I will be;
But rather, “Evil-101” and more,
Is what You’re opening up for me – to store –

Away the aspects I’d not known ahead,
When on the topic I was somehow led
Into a quagmire throughout history,
When otherwise You could help people see –

The larger scene of evil universe,
Along with efforts You make to reverse
The damage done to date, and better days
Of doing life in universal ways.

So Lord, thanks for these baby-steps for me,
As You help me ease in, to better see
Just what it is that I need guidance in,
As I confront in life the world of sin.

Thanks Lord for this.
