“Passive Aggressive” (Matthew 4:12; Acts 28:17) [Sun Tzu series 9 – 18]

An inconsistent rapprochement,
Where passive lies beneath a taunt,
Requires one stay alert indeed;
Adjustment may be what you need.

One comes on strong, then fears the mass,
Shakes in his boots, and has, alas,
Not to checked things out; imprudent act –
Undisciplined – quite stupid that.

And that applies to one’s own troops,
Or legions, masses, army groups;
A country taken; new command;
“Hit hard – pull back”, gets out of hand.

When mealy mouth pays complement,
But underneath, though errand’s sent
For compromise – it’s just a pause;
He needs to press once more his cause.

When forces come, belligerent;
High-spirited; great anger; bent
On staring down with high morale,
Be on your guard for acts that tell –

The true intent – they don’t engage;
They don’t back down, though quite enraged;
Be sure you understand their game,
Or you’ve yourself to carry blame.

That’s “Circumspection” once again
Circum – a circle, like a game;
Spect – to look, as in spectacles –
Check out your circle, check it well.

For that’s when infiltration comes –
Some “Friend” to other side then runs;
They’re waiting; pinned you to the wall,
Until they know best action-call.

To me this speaks of “House arrest”,
When you’re pinned down, not at your best;
But they don’t act, aggressive though –
It’s info which they’re trying to know.

Like Paul in Rome, and John back home,
Imprisoned, so they could not roam;
US has offshore prison site –
Guantanamo – bad scene – not right.

Thanks Lord for this.
