“His Spanish Church” (Ephesians 6:10-18; Matthew 16:23; John 15:15; 6:19; Luke 22:26;) [Sun Tsu 9 – 20-21]

From the time I hit that Spanish church
Until they left me in the lurch,
I came to know this Sun Tsu part –
Now I on Kingdom-task embark –

I’ve come to know how best to go,
For “Discipline” I came to know
Had uses – Church in Washington
Used “Discipline” ’till they were done.

If you enforce the rules outright
Before a bond is formed quite tight,
Folks won’t submit to tougher stuff;
They’ll balk and say, “I’ve had enough!”

But once a bond is formed with men,
You must enforce the discipline
Or they will not in end submit,
And they will surely balk at it.

When I first went into their group,
He let me stay beside their troop
’Till bond was formed, my task complete,
And rule-enforcement I would meet.

“All must get task at six months in;
So pick a task you can begin,
Or we will have to part our ways;
That’s role our discipline now plays”.

To me, the loss was hard to take,
But I was just a wee bit late
In doing what I knew by then –
“Move on, there Stu, I will not bend”

For my instructions (’Zekiel three)
Said “Border crossing’s not for thee”;
To learn, okay, but not to teach
So okay, Lord – it’s out of reach.

But now I better understand
How this all works for Spanish band;
He’s from the forces, years ago,
Thus discipline is way he’d go.

So, knit them into bond with you –
Humanity, the civil view,
Is what is used; then discipline;
Once that begins, then do not bend.

Then victory will surely be
The end-triumphant-Jubilee;
Thanks Lord for opening up my eyes
To Kingdom-life beneath the skies.

Thanks Lord for this.
