“May The Force Be With You...” (Sun Tzu 5:10) (Luke 21:12-19; Psalm 11; Matthew 21:42; 21:21-22; John 19:30; 1 Corinthians 13:13)

There’s talk of “combat force” in life’s affairs;
Momentum, situation, force, compares
In most men’s minds to what’s presented here,
As Sun Tzu tries to make his meaning clear.

This “Shih” he says, is like a log or stone
Which by its nature still remains in level zone,
But on a hillside rolls, if it is round and smooth;
When triggered it’s displaced – it’s on the move.

For what’s released is like that combat force –
It thunders down the hill, a great resource
To those who wish to dominate a scene –
Where weakness that’s observed can victory mean.

It is strategic use of “ Shih” that’s said
To be the combination for those led
To battle, not to the skill of just one man –
Together, that’s how peace comes to the land.

For peace shall come when rounded stones find stable ground
And logs not squared to fit just lie around –
For when the stones and logs have run their course,
Stability returns for fighting force.

But if unstable land is all there is,
Then squaring logs and stones effects the biz
Of peace – for both are needed in a fight –
A slope and roundedness releases might.

An avalanche comes down ten thousand feet;
It sweeps away all objects it has chance to meet;
When Spirit’s in us we’re unstoppable –
We are in God – and thus quite capable.

“It’s finished”, was the Roman shout in war
When route began, and they began to pour
Across the field of battle – avalanche
Released upon the foe as they advanced.

“It’s finished”, Jesus said upon the cross that day,
When route was seen by soldier in his day;
Centurion below the cross said, “We have erred –
Now He, as Son of God, a route’s declared”.
