“The Sea ” [Reflections On Book Powerlines by Leona Frances Choy - Chapter , Sam Brengle #13/25]

This chapter was a puzzle – what was that?!
It makes no sense! Like satisfaction’s cat
I pressed into the content Google-style;
Four minutes and it made my time worthwhile.

Four-minute clip of Brengle on the net,
Was scratchy as recording – what the heck,
He said so clearly what his viewpoint was;
I comprehended him, I think because –

The lady and her sources were obscure
(They’ve over-thought his teaching here for sure);
“A drop of ocean water on your thumb,
Is like all ocean water – it’s become –

“A taste of all the rest of great big sea,
Not in its size or currents, but for me
It’s all the same – as God is in our lives,
He enters in and little else survives.

“So when another person comes to me,
They feel they’ve touched their God, it’s God they see –
Not in extent or movements, but in tone;
And know in God at last they’ve found their home.

“You say, ‘no way! God’s purer, higher yet!’
That’s true, but ‘Holiness’ you soon can get
If you’d allow God access to your life –
Polluted water’s still the ocean – right?”

“Entire perfection” – “entire” is “all me” –
I’m not the body – just a part, you see;
I let God in, His Spirit cleans things up;
But private holiness is not enough.

We are Christ’s body – perfect hand or eye
Is nice, but in the time before I die,
I wish that other parts might also be
Cleaned up by God as droplets of the sea.

But in the meantime we affect our scene;
A change takes place in us and where we’ve been;
All holiness has social side for we
Are people, like a forest’s made of trees.

Lord, may Your presence in my life today,
Find greater scope to see the light of day;
That others whom I contact, and my pix
Become a piece of heaven’s blessed mix.

Clean out my attitudes’ polluting parts;
Leave only Your good presence in my heart;
Help me to open every corner up,
Though doing so, for me, I know seems tough.

Thanks Lord for this.
