"The Power Dynamic" [Reflections On Book Powerlines by Leona Frances Choy - Chapter 11 - E.B.Meyer, #10/25]
For F.B.Meyer, the Spirit-thing was power,
Not effervescence bubbling every hour,
Or even at the first – more rising tide,
Or shift from brook to river deep and wide.To him the Spirit’s like a four-wheel-drive,
With motor from a tank put deep inside –
More torque; relentless force; an unseen power
When open to the Spirit hour by hour.His is the story of that little kid
In hotel lobby – what musician did
In playing with atrocious one-note song –
Embellishments helped everyone along.For Meyer, that is the Spirit’s way with each
Of us – He covers as He strives to teach
Us how to music make – we all start there,
With Spirit our productions better fare.Such is the way with Spirit and our pix –
He shows us where to look and went to click;
Like “St. John” picture – gift to me at last
Of Sandy life, which summed up four years past.As T-R he holds Scripture as our base,
Which Spirit uses in each guiding case –
“Stay in its bounds and you will make out fine,
For Gospel’s of Christ’s body, not just ‘mine’.”God takes us where we need to go – each one
Prepared ahead for things of life ’till done;
“Be being filled”, as Nee translated line –
It’s lumpy, but you’ll get to end just fine.Thanks Lord for this.
