“Our General Is Smart” ( ) [Sun Tsu First Half Re-Write # 6:4] [Pandemic series]

Our General, Field Marshall Christ,
Is smart all right, and very nice,
At least to those who need release
From prison-cells, which have increased.

Or so it seems to those who watch
Around the world where action’s hot –
War-zones abound; dictators strut;
Poor get ground down to blood-soaked dust.

Pandemic hits, more people swoon –
Against all hope there’s little room
For Christ to come, alleviate
Their grinding state; in hope they wait.

But then He comes – there’s no defense,
For poor are “Junk” not prized; and hence,
It’s easy pickings for God’s love,
In world obsessed with push and shove.

“Where to attack?” Then satan asks;
On Kingdom-layer, above the blast
Of evil, hate, and warfare’s weight,
Christ’s body rests; prepares; sees hate –

Abound in lives below, on earth;
Learns how to act post second-birth;
Becomes a unity for real;
Then ventures forth, as Christ reveals –

Some target new whose need explodes
With strong assault; to heft such loads,
And set folks free in Jubilee –
Ka-boom! – As Christ in us they see.

“There’s plenty undefended still
Whom satan’s ilk regard as swill;
Move in; release; show Kingdom-layer
As peace-full answer to their prayer.”

Okay Lord, thanks for this.
