“This Tricky Turf” ( ) [Sun Tsu First Half Re-Write – #3-9 ]

This section nine of chapter three
Is tricky, as I flip and see
What insights are abiding here –
For “Trinity” is far from clear –

To me – it’s not a Scripture piece,
But later came, as scholars seized
Upon some aspects, made a “Form”
For teaching truth – became the norm.

I’ve heard it said, long years ago,
With Trinity – surveys now show
(That’s three in one and one with three
As God’s seen by humanity) –

Most folks have problems with just one
(Or more, it seems, it is for some)
Of aspects of that point of view –
A quagmire that – so what to do?

The basic fact is true enough –
Field General, decisions tough,
Must take in circumstance in acts
They order up, applying facts.

For those back home don’t understand –
Would have to think, if in command
Out in the field – new factors now –
Yet still abide in what’s allowed.

But one more factor Sun Tsu said –
Back home two factors key are read
In text as key – humanity
And justice – always used are these.

But in the field the base is changed –
Priorities are rearranged –
One moves with opportunity
Maintaining flexibility.

Of course, those aspects overlap,
But here’s my question – is the slack
Picked up within the Trinity?
The Father, home, on Kingdom, sees –

To growth, and peace, and harmony;
But in the field with Christ we see
Quite different are priorities,
As Christ moves on to set world free?

So much to think of in these lines –
That Jesus still has means sublime,
But through His body, loves and cares
For other folks entrapped out there –

So has to move at lightning speed
To hit-and-run effectively;
For “This and that” when done that way,
Give room for Holy Spirit’s sway.

For satan and his motley crew,
That is no issue – he can do
“Whatever works” to get his way,
Thus bringing life beneath his sway.

Lord, what I hear in this wee part,
Is circumstance dictates Your art
Of warfare on this larger plain,
As You take part in cosmic game.

Humanity and justice are
So central – Kingdom layer far
Above the world on earth, where those
Aren’t practiced, then can heal – which blows –

Old Satan from his ersatz stance
Of power-player – give a chance
For beaten, trapped humanity
To find relief out there by Thee.

But acts of Jubilee themselves
Take active stance to free from hell
Those members of humanity,
So You seize opportunity –

As well, use flexibility,
Not needed by humanity
In daily life on Kingdom-layer,
Pin of the pinwheel – freed from care.

Assured that this has been addressed –
That Kingdom-layer lets those find rest
Who long for peace; can justice see
For all of Your humanity.

Yet far more active, front-line can
Engage as asked, that loving man
And woman on the earth can be
Engaged with flexibility.
