“The Ministry Of Presence” (Job 2: 7-12 )[Spanish Jerusalem Bible Series - Job sub-series] [Pandemic Series]

At least, three friends had sense to silence keep
In dust with Job, as they his pain could see;
We sometimes come upon such abject pain,
And silence keep, ’till normal comes again.

For seven days and seven nights they sat
In silence, comprehending that
Job was much worse than they had thought before;
But seeing this, in silence waited more.

In end, Job spoke and opened up the talk –
Like life for us, as we with others walk;
Silence is hard, yet deep within our souls,
We sense a pain, outsiders cannot know.

Lord, as we walk with friends through present pain,
Help us, in You, in silence to remain,
That healing come from You, through presence here,
To those who suffer loss of those so near.

Thanks Lord for this.
