Christ Jesus made instructions clear:
“Live off the land and earn your keep”;
“Expect some flack, for that, you’ll meet”.And that is it (some detail given) –
A task to do – do not be driven
Along by what folks say they want;
I’m sending you into a swamp.In any swamp some nasties live,
So hearken to advice I give –
Be on your toes; don’t give them mind;
Ensure response is good – be kind.And that is it – His training went
As they passed on with shoulder bent
Unto the axle of the wheel;
Trained on the run – engaged for real.Lord, I’d not seen that part before,
How You’d alerted them for more
Hostility than they had seen
In life to date – and what it means.Thus started up the level “Twelve” –
That’s mentorship right where they dwelt;
No “Expert from afar”, unseen;
For real they’d go – where they had been.Lord, what’s for me, in all these words?
What is Your rhema, not yet heard
By me, as life now shifts once more,
And I’m dispatched through present door?“Stu, just relax – a two-part task
Is here encountered, now you ask –
The “Four” component’s where you’ll live;
But to the “Twelve” attention give.“Then when you hit the twelve, some day,
It’s “Seven-two” in which you’ll play –
This is ahead, it moves quite fast
Once you get here – next-level class.”Okay, O Lord, I think I see –
Discipling is task for me
Before cross-culture’s training-gig,
Which goes beyond where You now bid –Me go and dig in fully now,
As I engage in life – allowed
To study here as You wrap up
“Four” level now – it’s plenty tough.Lord, thanks for this auspicious start
To task ahead – as I embark
On second half of seven years;
Thanks for addressing inner fears.Thanks Lord for this.
