“Pray Me Up A Sword – la espoda del esperitu (The Sword Of the Spirit)” [Spanish Jerusalem Bible Series - Ephesians sub-series - # 6:15ff]

So how does this play out in fact?
“Pray me a sword for present tact
Of dueling with my enemy
(Not flesh and blood) – one cannot see –

The foe – it’s spirit, attitude
That’s loose here in this latitude
And longitude – imprisoned here
“Ambassador in chains”, that’s clear.

So Paul asks them to pray for text
From A to Z – that Spirit let’s
Him have some rhema-word that’s fit
For fighting spirit-force with it.

Lord, as I ponder Paul’s request,
I hear, “That’s mine as well – for zest
To share good news needs-be informed
By Spirit-prayer-and Scripture formed.”

Augmented text is prayer to me
An aspect You have helped me see –
On all occasions oración
(That’s prayer) – the base which Paul works on.

For illustrating poetry
Is focus, as I learn to see
How all this fits into the plan
You have for me, here in this land.

Thanks Lord for this.
