“Choosing” (Rom.8:1ff;Jn.15;; Mt.10:16) [Reflections on Ralph D. Sawyer's Translation of One Hundred Unorthodox Strategies - Battle Tactics of Chinese Warfare # 21-22B – #8/10]

Our indecisiveness can rise
From several sources – no surprise –
Like fear of future outcomes all;
Disliking choices large or small –

There being lack of data now;
No plan in mind; the sense of how
One could proceed with blockages
Unable to see passages

Within some tangled web of lies;
Locked into maze of kinship ties
But bottom line, the choice exists
Below some threshold we have fixed –

So we would much prefer to wait
And see, as something obfuscates
Our moving forward with clear view
Of what, when, how, we best might choose.

Then, while we wait, we are attacked
By those who obfuscation lacked;
Lord, how can we avoid this trap –
Decide, with insufficient facts?

“Stu, that’s what Kingdom-layer’s about,
And body-life in Me – no doubt
There’s clarity, and needed facts,
But walk of faith the others lack.

So Spirit-walker be, my friend,
Don’t on your wisdom, ways, depend,
But rather, ’bide in Me by day
And night, I’ll guide you in My way.

My ways are not man’s ways, I want
Quite different ends for all – folks flaunt
Their mighty strength and clever plans;
I made the sun, moon, stars, and land.

Sure, I won’t back folks’ silly ways,
But if you choose to spend your days
In service of a greater cause,
Like stomping evil here, because –

“You wish to join Me in My task,
You’ll be My body, do as asked;
And in the end be part of this
Defeat of evil, source of bliss.”

Okay Lord thanks for this.
