“Follow-Up” [Reflections on Sun Tsu's Art Of War #12-1C-2]

The point of starting fires, Tsu said,
Was follow-up, fire having led
By making panic in the streets
Or rank-and-file perhaps you meet.

So watch – a fire by accident,
Or happen-stance can serve you, yet –
Like fight in church just up the street –
A follow-up could build defeat –

Of evil one, who loves such mess
To meddle in, attack the nest
To his own ends; but you can too –
Thus block his moves by what you do.

I heard of one, some decades past,
Checked with the preacher, acted fast;
They started church, then all went there
To join in song in their despair.

Quick visit that, then they went back;
“Church crashing” – simple in its task –
Just hit and run, sing, pray with you,
Like carolers at Christmas do.

Imagine if arrangements set,
A group did that, in quiet, yet
Just packed some church to fill their ranks –
Flash mob indeed – they’d hit like tanks.

A guy stood up in church one day,
Asked preacher if the group would pray
For situation he knew well,
Which called for help in neighbor’s hell.

A shock wave ripped through tiny group –
“That’s never done” became a route
To prayer poured out – fire’s follow up,
Assistance given when times are tough.

Thanks Lord for this.
