“New Life”

It’s nice to see new life emerge
This spring, as boys now feel the urge
To move into their future here,
As launching-pad makes future clear.

I love You Father-God above,
For decades, showing depth of love
For this created-world below
The skies of blue, and sun which shows –

Us marvels of created life,
In this short stretch, amidst the strife
We face as humans on this globe;
With rocks of Sisyphus as load.

Not all that bad, but still a stretch
Beyond today, and what is wrecked
By factors far beyond control,
Like deep eruptions from below –

Or winds which topple things we build;
As part of life we view as swill;
Get swept away Tsunamic-like,
And we dust off, and set things right.

Strange life all this, yet marvelous,
Amidst the serendipitous –
The way new life springs from the ground,
When sun brings life, and the lost is found.

So, Father-God, Your view of life,
Despite our silliness and strife,
Is far beyond our wildest dreams,
And shorter use of what life seems.

Thanks Holy Spirit for this, indeed, thanks!
