“I See It, Lord!” (Spanish Church Series – Apostolic Ministry)

I see it, Lord, amazing grace!
Coincidence? Within this place?
I think it’s not – but grace indeed,
As You address cross-culture’s needs.

For Pedro, Paul, and Busink too,
Face challenge faced in me by You –
“What happens when folks ‘marry out’
To Anglos, Gringos, ’round about?

“Or header off to Calgary
For jobs once papers come – they flee;
They leave the church which helped them start –
Say ‘Adios’, and then depart.”

But Paul is facing that as well –
It’s slower – near as I can tell,
They face attrition – TCK’s
Abound, as children meld away.

That’s me – from Echo-land for sure,
With gap where gospel had a cure,
Which brought within my heart Your peace,
As from those chains I found release.

The problem’s we think “National”,
When at its base, it’s “Cultural”–
New type of mission in our day;
Post-Bruchko even – new this way.

So if his focus shifts to “there”,
For future needs he now prepares,
Then hey! That’s cool – for TCK’s
Their kids all are, with needs today.

Lord, thanks for this insightful piece
To share with them – to give release
To captives not yet bound in ways
That crush their spirit’s future days.

To set folks on a firmer ground
Than hitherto in church was found,
Is genius – Lord, thanks for this…
And task You’ve given re: Kingdom’s-kiss.

Thanks Lord for this.
