“Pass It On”  [Module #35] (Matt. 18-23; 13:12; Mk.4:13-20; 21-25; Luke 8:11-15;16-18)

If you’ve got it, pass it on;
Hot potato – soon it’s gone;
Keep it ’round it dissipates;
Let it go – participate –

In the life which ’round you thrives,
In your own and others’ lives;
Like a lamp unto your feet,
Is a story – time released.

Words, instructions, teachings, lore,
Have an impact, but what’s more,
Are the stories, anecdotes,
We pick up from other folks.

Like a lady I heard once –
Spoke of Marathon she’d run;
Half way she had aimed to go,
Then she met a runner; so –

Inspired had she soon become,
She decided more to run;
Called out to her waiting kin,
“Meet me at the line – I’ll win –

“Not the race, but struggle here
In my heart, for now it’s clear,
I must finish course today –
I about this feel okay.

Stories under radar fly;
Stories faith and hope supply;
Stories bear the ripened fruit
Of success on chosen route.

Stories grow with us as age
Adds on layers, we grow sage;
With events, encounters new,
Stories grow along with you.
