Reciprocal – You’re Kidding, Right? (2 Corinthians 8:14)

Reciprocal? Your kidding, right?
That’s not the way it works – no fight –
It’s just not part of psychic-space
Here in this part of human race.

The church is ’bout community
Of interest – it’s all cliques, you see;
Religious clubs; sub-culture based –
It’s family, for goodness sake.

But not a family with room
For outside folks – they’ll find out soon –
Resource, facility, and right
To live within, is out of sight.

“But what of clergy? They get in” –
Yes, for their family they bring
A set of chairs; but when they part,
Some other folks will sitting start –

Then for an anniversary,
Or trips, when we past clergy see,
They have a guest-chair (for one week,
And then it’s gone, as they’ll soon see).

So tight – yes, tighter than a drum
Is rural church – that’s how they’re run;
Reciprocal, sure – family
Do that, (but that’s not “church”, to me).
