Read To Write Augmented Text (Matthew 3:13-4:11; 16; Deuteronomy 6:20-25)

I’ve lost my sense of altitude, O God, my Heavenly Father;
I’m not sure what it’s all about, or if this goes much farther;
You say, “Hold tight, you’ll be all right, like Len quipped in his message –
“Just hold the course, stay on your horse, and heed the Scripture passage”.

What passage, Lord? Oh – that’s the point, “Three ways I have of speaking:
It’s Scripture, prayer, experience – how we will all be meeting;
Don’t say, ‘I saw the movie once’ or ‘Read it in my training’;
But rather, soak yourself in that, and then you will be planing.”

How best to do that, Lord?, I ask; “Just read to do your writing;
I know it’s hard for you to do, eye problems you’ve been fighting;
But you are copied; what you do will shift a generation
Into My Word’s original, with focused concentration.

O Lord, I see just where we’re at, from “New” to “Old” progressing;
Like Boldt had said, “Old’s understood, each dashboard dial addressing”;
So when I looked at module one and two in Matthew’s gospel,
I followed wire to Pentateuch – found world of this Apostle:

For there we were – book five; chap six; five verses (start at twenty) –
“In future, when your son inquires, and you have answers plenty –
Be sure you notice where he’s at (he asks ‘you’ ’bout ‘your’ living),
Then answer with inclusive tone (“we-our”) when answer giving.

For no-one starts their walk with God locked in, by birth possessing;
They’ve been included in the clan, head-start in life progressing;
But they must start outside and ask about “your” walk with Jesus,
And then make up their minds themselves to do what Jesus pleases.

“Prosperity with righteousness” defined within that section,
By Moses to his followers leads to a resurrection;
For death attends all other roads, though glitzy in attraction,
It’s death on wheels; accept this life, and boost your satisfaction.

Quite simple that, what Moses said before their time of parting –
The rules are meant to prosper us, our upward journey starting;
Not by yourself, or just as one within our culture walking,
But walk your walk before our God, with Him continue talking.

And when you do, it’s “righteousness” (for us) – and thanks for asking;
I hope you come and to do your life with us in sunshine basking;
For life outside our God is dark, and dreary in its plodding;
Come into light which God has shed, and join in our applauding.

For light has dawned upon our lives as we by death were brushing;
In darkness we have seen the light, missed by folks who are rushing
To make their lives more prosperous whatever way it pleases;
It’s up to us – live life that way, or walk God’s way in Jesus.
