“Twist’s Oatmeal” (Matthew 6:5-15 )
“It’s ‘possible’ does not imply it will
Transpire; it lets the Holy Spirit fill
Your heart, and soul, and mind, and strength, with power
Beyond man’s being, doing, in life’s hour –Of need, where we are powerless to act;
Cho’s “fourth dimension” Spirit brings, in fact;
As author pointed out long years ago,
“We have the mind of Christ, that we can know”.Christ prayed (and fasted) constantly, in fact;
So He could follow Father-God in tact –
“On own, I can do nothing, so I do
The thing I see the Father do, for you”.That opens up the “possible”, as ways
To do “What is impossible” these days;
Where otherwise no road is open here,
From mess we’re in, and hunkered down in fear.It brings to mind those Cheaper-Cheeper days,
“Three hours in daily prayer brought newer ways
We could apply – as possibility –
Amidst what was “impossible” to see.He quipped, “Although his memory is crap,
Analysis is tops – surprising that”;
But I knew it was not my insight bright,
But Spirit-guided ways to tunnel’s light.So what I’m hearing in this Word from You,
O Holy Spirit, prayer is what to do –
But open channel for me through these days,
Is poetry – and “paper-trail” it lays.So thank-You Holy Spirit for the words –
“Back on your knees by Me”, is clearly heard;
Not paper-trail, perhaps it’s more like Twist –
To have in end, “More oatmeal in my dish”.Thanks Holy Spirit for this.
