“Anniversary And First Half Of Quarter”

One half the quarter is now down
As we in bubble-mobile come
Up to Anne’s Acres tarmac – Isle
In sun (Tzu’s) sea, for just a while.

Course, “just a while” meant forty years
In this old house, through joys and tears,
So who knows anything down here
When we guess, based on what appears.

We had first rainstorm for this year;
All’s safe and dry – so it appears;
The wildfires now can beaten be
Where e’er this rain cuts misery.

This climate-change has messed a lot
Of life we knew – I’ve fires fought
In bush and on the prairie dry,
But this is widespread – we know why –

But in denial most prefer
To live their lives, thus, pain defer
To later date, play “let’s pretend”
Until too late, then comes the end.

So, Father-God and Jesus Christ
You, Holy Spirit, Your advice
Has helped us through these troubled years
To victory, despite our tears.

Thanks Holy Spirit for this.
