“Anniversary And First Half Of Quarter”
One half the quarter is now down
As we in bubble-mobile come
Up to Anne’s Acres tarmac – Isle
In sun (Tzu’s) sea, for just a while.Course, “just a while” meant forty years
In this old house, through joys and tears,
So who knows anything down here
When we guess, based on what appears.We had first rainstorm for this year;
All’s safe and dry – so it appears;
The wildfires now can beaten be
Where e’er this rain cuts misery.This climate-change has messed a lot
Of life we knew – I’ve fires fought
In bush and on the prairie dry,
But this is widespread – we know why –But in denial most prefer
To live their lives, thus, pain defer
To later date, play “let’s pretend”
Until too late, then comes the end.So, Father-God and Jesus Christ
You, Holy Spirit, Your advice
Has helped us through these troubled years
To victory, despite our tears.Thanks Holy Spirit for this.
