“‘Election Day’” (Deut. 30:19; Josh. 24:15)

O Holy Spirit, here we go
Election day – You’d think we know
That this palaver can’t sustain
Inequity – but, just the same –

This house of cards, like Roman time,
Had to collapse – as rich don’t mind
Their role of care for life of all,
Let folks like Stephie take the fall.

“Stu, bear in mind, ‘untwisting’ work
You’ve done, in Me; don’t go berserk,
For it will stand in guiding all –
My ‘thoughts on commerce’ for you call.

“So soon the new way in the sea
Will yield new island-home for thee;
When you are wheels-down on the strip,
Adventure starts – then, let ’er rip.

“For it’s not visit from the boys
That kicks it off – for that employs
A lot more effort, so stay cool –
It’s parallel to end of school –

“Which Carol had in mind always;
You’ve done this piece – St. Norbert days –
Were hairy at that time as well,
And you made out there – ‘All things well’ –

“Is song you learned in church as boy;
It put it well – so, now employ
Resource in Me ‘for such a time’
It all works out – election ‘rhymes’.”

Thanks Holy Spirit for this.
