“Stew” (Isaiah Ch. 50 Passim) [The Tongue Of One Who Is Taught]

O Holy Spirit, thanks for this, as I go forth
Into this day with fresh routine in frozen North;
The music, songs of praise from round the earth
Uplifting are for those of us with second birth.

I had the choice in You, from net to pull some songs,
Amazed I was how many to my thought belong;
Assembled now so I can pull each quickly in,
Thus part of morning routine worship here begins.

So nice to draw some singing groups around the globe
Like Davis story, at the end, when yarn I told
Of “Day Thou Gavest” sung by friends in memory;
Now Internet enables this more naturally.

Isaiah speaks of morning teaching for my day,
With sustenance for weary travelers on the way;
To pass along to others so we all arrive
At “Kingdom-Layer”, “Head of the pin” – that all survive.

So thank You, Holy Spirit, for Your words today;
The way the You've held the me back to give me words to say;
And started building up routines for giving food
To hungry souls around the globe, out doing good.

So like that dream of skis, equipment, steaming stew;
Provided workers heading out to work with You,
You’ll find me, when You come, so doing what You asked
Of me – back on my knees, to music – basic task.

Lord as I read these words, my failures seem so great,
In numbered ratio-to-good I helped create;
I pray those numbers might reverse as we go forth
This day, and all the rest, for us – in frozen North.

Thanks Holy Spirit for this.
