“It’s Like On ‘Holy-Days’!!” (THSFT)
O Holy Spirit now I've laid
Out schedule for “Holy-Days”
What comes to mind, a quip once made,
“The problem with what Christ has said –“Is it’s not tried in daily life”
One hour a week makes all that tight
To fit – much better “hockey boards”
For tighter-faster game, for words –Are nice – encouraging I’d say;
They help us weekly through each day
But if these days are cluttered up
With our “agendas”, “purchased stuff” –What’s left for God to work through us –
“Our lives in Christ, addressing fuss
And bother in terrestrial realm
With Stuie firmly at the helm?”So, Holy Spirit, what comes next,
As we progress from Scriptured text?
“Stu, bear in mind Christ’s style of life
Few Scriptures 'round – life worked all right.”But what of us? Where do we fit?
“Think Wesley Chapel guy, the bit
He said bout ‘intercessory prayer’ –
It’s dangerous, if one goes there.”Okay, O Holy Spirit now
I’m thinking this is where and how
This walk in Christ transpires each day
“New every morning” guides the way.Thanks Holy Spirit for this.
