“Farewell, My Friends”

First, Gordy from my Scouting days;
Elaine and husband died two days
Apart, from Covid-19’s sweep
Of global village – rest in peace.

Then Phil, whom I had trouble with
Accepting advent of my death,
But from whose death I heard the way
The Spanish deal with age – “Oh, say!”

Colleen, the nurse, Professor was –
Compassion-TR, “Mom”, because
I seemed to latch onto that fact,
Advised by uncle – ’magine that!

Lorne’s wife had also passed away –
Long fight with cancer – I must say
That time’s a ticking, Stuie-babe –
Shift to this path to life – Christ’s “Way”.

Thanks Holy Spirit for this.
