O Holy Spirit, here [ie “They” in quote] Your Words
To me this morning now are heard –
That Statutes of our God in Heaven
Are there for us as bread with leaven.Not flat and lifeless on the page,
But scribbled on our hearts, as sage
Reminders of Their place in life,
On us, amidst chaotic strife.There, for, as well John Hagie said,
“When hearts are broken, we are fed
Your Word – it trickles down inside,
When we would rather run and hide”.Well, Holy Spirit, thanks for this,
As we go forth from here with bliss;
A promise for us all forthwith;
Abide in us, lest life be missed.Thanks Holy Spirit for this.
