“Da Ring Thing”

Watched Father Goose, a movie made
With Kerry Grant, some other maid,
About two people and some kids
Stuck on an island, there amidst –

A war between the Japs and Yanks;
Had Band-Aid sequence, which by chance
We’d seen – a wedding, while about
There’s strafing of their shack – no doubt –

Symbolic of our lives as well,
Twixt heaven and a slice of hell;
But bubble’s burst since World War II,
So babe, look ’round, “It’s me and you!”.

In cases both, “placeholder ring”
Stood in for what deep feelings bring
Into our lives; mis-taken step
I made, my culture drove it, yet –

It wasn’t mine, I’m TCK –
It was from parents, of their way;
We all have aspects of our past
Which needs be dropped – set free at last.

Where to from here? No debt, no way;
We’ll move to future in our day,
With where we go from here unseen –
Which “Island in the Sun (Tzu)” means.

Thanks Holy Spirit for this.
