“The Day Two Ships Sailed Into Port”
Today's the day of peace and calm
Before the next day's rain of bombs;
Two ships pulled into quiet port
For R and R from days of work.All hell broke loose within one day –
Two ships were sunk with hell to pay;
Two bombs went off to end the war;
Civilians lost, brought peace once more.But war is always ’round the bend,
When rain of bombs released, descend
On folks who'd like to live their lives,
Then shift their focus to survive.Seven billion people, somewhat more,
Now people lands in groups, before
Our next catastrophe comes ’round,
And bubble breaks where peace is found.It's been a good life here to date,
But war is coming – goodness sakes!
They're burning off old stockpiles now
To make some room – that way's “allowed”.But “proxy wars” abound these days,
Just like before, while trading paves
The ways and means to build up strength,
Exacerbating pain at length.Well Father-God, and Jesus Christ,
And Holy Spirit, in that fight
We'll all be claiming You, One God,
As ‘On our side” which seems quite odd.‘Well, Stuie-babe, that is your part,
With you and others, it's a start
At doing things which make for peace
Before the big bombs get released.“That's ‘wars and rumours of the same’
Which Scripture speaks of – what's to blame
Folks of, if ‘they want peace, all ways,
But other guys want war’ (which pays).“So buying time is best for now
In multi-player game somehow;
You get to, got to, move ahead
‘While day’s today’ – ‘see folks get fed’.”Okay Holy Spirit thanks for this.
