“Floating On The Edge ” (Reflection on Photography of Roberta Bondar ) [Interpretive Photography Series #1 ]

On 21st of March each year
We’re on the edge, that much is clear –
Our winter’s days fall back behind,
And summer times approach our minds.

Roberta said we used to see,
But “Vision’s” more the thing we need –
For migratory routes for birds
Depend on our protective words.

Eight days she hung at edge of space –
Deep black above, breath-taking pace;
Upon return, forever changed,
She sought our views to re-arrange.

“The stars don’t twinkle” out in space;
It moves us deeply – it’s a place
Like nowhere else – my photos here
On earth are made to make that clear.

My own views now are shaped by her –
Where I have been throughout life’s whir
Has also changed the pix I make,
And path in life, which now I take.

So how can we walk hand in hand
With God, some small part under-stand?
Remember vision’s in the mind –
There, for the sighted, and the blind.

Thanks Triune God for this.
