“Seconded to Your Presence Now.” [Throne room, hymns series start] (2 Corinthians 12:2ff)

Seconded to this place on high,
That we might live before we die;
Not cowered in protective caves,
But vibrantly for all our days.

Here, Father-God, You bid us turn,
And from this vantage-point now learn
To see all life, from this time forth,
As richly blessed with Your resource.

Life’s far more complex than our view –
This place affords perspective new –
Same place, same people, O my God,
But lifted high above the sod.

Amazed we view this distant seen –
The Kingdom-layer where we have been;
The world below; Your planet blue;
Redeemed as You make all things new.

So Father-God we bless Your name,
For life on earth is henceforth changed –
No more a slog through endless slime,
But lifted to this place sublime.

Thanks father-God for this.
