“Our Job” [Kingdom-layer reflections on ‘Health and Wellness’ series - FX]
“Don’t diagnose or fix, my man,
But back ’er up far as you can;
Not even inner-turf so much;
More ‘context’ factors – garden stuff.“It’s chronic problems we address,
It’s not acute – the doctors (bless
There pointed heads), mop up that mess
(Once it’s gone wild) with pills and tests.“We work with folks upstream of that –
Attend to soil in garden, flat,
Upon which roots of plants depend
For nutrients, which can ascend –Up to the trunk, and branches, leaves,
Of many plants, so, if you please,
Keep focus on what’s now required
Of gardens – it’s for that we’re hired.For it’s more ‘indirect’ our work
Is all about – so best not shirk
Our duty to our fellow man,
Or woman, child, within this land.If leaves and branches withered are,
With chronic ailments, best by far,
We turn and ask about the soil –
Enriching such, with wisdom’s toil.The more we comprehend how all
Connects together – short and tall,
Or broad and skinny, keen and numb,
Can get some help (not quickly done).So best stand back and ask yourself,
“How does life work – get off the shelf
And get involved, start deep within
Your life and context – there begin.Thanks Lord for this.
