“More Grace To Her” [A-series; pandemic series; Sun Tzu untwisted series]

O Lord,
This frosty morning, days ’fore spring,
As we awake, no birds yet sing;
But soon, and very soon indeed,
They’ll come back here, and ducks we’ll greet.

For they’ve returned these centuries
Despite hard hearts, though we’ve been pleased
To see migrations marks the days
Of pleasant times in cyclic ways.

Lord, as I rise and greet this morn,
Pandemic’s trail’s been deeply worn
For all of us these two years now –
Held mirror up – what we’ve allowed –

To be our ways on planet earth –
Our planet blue, land of our birth;
At slower pace than mind can see
Are changes wrought by likes of me.

Sun Tzu (untwisted) gives me hope
That in our ways, there’s massive scope
To work – untwisting strand on strand
Of ways accepted in these lands.

Lord, presently, there’s threat of war –
Frustrations from your people pour
Out in attempts to ease the stress
Of life in this un-holy mess.

Lord, melt our hearts, as you have done
Throughout our years – slow victories won,
Despite our strong, resisting fight.
To keep dark covers on our nights.

Lord, help each person in our age
Allow You into life, engaged
In ways which only we can do,
As we do life – lest life we lose.

Thanks Lord for this.
