y si sacas (If You Separate Ou...t)” (Jeremiah 15 19-21) [Spanish Jerusalem Bible series – photo series – Sun Tzu application series]

Now here’s a piece that’s sort of right
In Spanish text (like partial light);
But it is big in RC thought
(Not quite what I from English got).

The RC (Spanish) text just says,
If you will separate the ways
(And things) quite good from in the vile,
You’ll be My mouth in godly style.

But ancient text of Hebrew type
Says if you speak My words aright,
You’ll be My mouth – quite different thought –
To me a hobby-horse they’ve got.

For separating good from a vile
Is well and good (for self’s good style);
But that’s not all God said to Jer –
Speak as My mouth” is also there.

I’ve little interest in the task
Of “splitting hairs”, as if I’m asked
To think it’s major task for me –
That’s not what in this text, I see.

I come with photo-task before
My eyes – it’s like an open door –
“If you return to Me, there Stu,
I’ve got a task for you to do –

“But utter only what is good;
Reject the vile, once understood;
And state that clearly, just those words;
Then, as My mouth you will be heard.

That was Your word to me back when
All hell broke loose (round-nine, or ten);
I heard; believed; when all seemed done –
Your word to me? “I’ve just begun!”

So Lord, for me today, in this
I ask Your guidance – Heaven’s kiss
You wish me to pass on this day
(Sun Tsu-reversed, will ease my way).

So here I am, day one, in You –
“Eight hours a day” – You told me to
Attend, in You, that Heaven’s-kiss
Be passed through me – with Kingdom’s bliss…

Now there “To separate” I see
Is very good – Sun Tsu to me
Is twisted version of Your ways;
Untwist it – it new pathway lays”.

Thanks Lord for this.
