“Invite The No”
He said he’d seen a Ted-talk guy
Who’d been rejected, wondered why;
Decided to invite the “No” –
Made asking list, to feel the blows.“It changed my life; I’m different now”;
Most laughed, said “No”, would not allow
Him to proceed, succeed, progress;
But some, he found, said, “Heck! Why yes!”I thought that cool, like Trump’s campaign –
Brought life to civi-street again;
Take Ted-talk's lead, stop whining now,
And “ask” – see what that will allow.Lord, that is cool – my hundred list
Would work for me, would satisfice;
Then plug in items such as his –
Act one? Step up, create my list.Lord, I’ve too long laid low, pulled back –
Strategic, tactic – they’re in fact
Now “forward”, but you’d never know,
On Kingdom-layer not down below.So maybe I should be inspired,
Not mope around like being fired;
Who knows – perhaps I second-guess,
Instead of pushing through to “Yes”.Thanks Lord for this.
