“A Word For You” (Matt.19:11-12,21)
Words, at least in this small piece,
Are given to folks for their release –
“If you can do, you should,” Christ said,
“For by such word your lives are fed.“Like time that fellow came along
And asked, ‘How can I now belong
To Kingdom-layer, with life like Yours?’
I said, ‘Sell stuff – you’ll be secure –“ ‘In kingdom-life – if you want life;
If you can hear, and time is right,
You should accept this word for you;
If not, that’s fine – though best you do’.“Far harder to climb up on layer,
To be, in Me, a Kingdom-player,
If you are rich – security
Is elsewhere found than here, in Me”.Lord, in this I am hearing word
To me – “Drop tools seen as absurd
In life up on this Kingdom-layer,
And shift your ways to daily prayer.“For that is what I said to you,
And life in Me I’ve lead you to –
‘Do this and that in word and deed,
As I through Scripture others feed’ ”.Okay Lord, thanks for this.
