“I Smile In Prayer” [Philippian Series – 1:1-6]
I think of you, I smile in prayer,
For knowing Jesus will be there
Completing what He had in mind –
Ka-boom! You’ll leave sad part behind.Lord, this is not a happy lot;
They grump around, yet won’t be taught –
“What’s good enough in days of yore
Will quite suffice, I need no more”.The trouble is, when we let in
The Holy Spirit – work begins –
The Gyprock’s smashed, the studs come out,
We’re stripped right down – gone is the pout.And then He starts rebuilding task;
Takes serious the things we ask;
But like the game of pickup sticks
First red, white, blue, ’fore black He picks.So me? I smile on thinking ’bout
That grumpy lot – there is no doubt –
“That Jesus will complete in you
The reno-work you asked Him to”.Thanks Lord for this.
