"Mien Kampf"
Hitler wrote Mein Kampf, then plugged it in;
Laid out how he thought he would begin;
Didn’t write another book, but took
What he’d written, through it world he shook.Jesus didn’t write a book at all;
Wrote on people’s hearts – though group was small –
Four, then twelve, then seven-two, and on,
Over culture’s wall they soon were gone.On a standard library shelf,
Many authors share collective wealth –
What they’ve learned as the pursued their lives;
Just a tiny fragment there survives.Now my road has changed to Meadow-wood,
Shift in task for me, as understood,
Is to work this awesome piece of turf,
Not go adding more – ’twould make it worse.First thing that I see is get it down;
Think about the treasure-trove I’ve found;
Pray about what use that it might be;
Push it out so other folks might see.I don’t want to travel now (I’m tired),
Or to work with folks who’ve just been fired
(Been there, done that); time to settle down;
“MYOB” slogan now seems sound.Maybe it’s a pipe-dream, who can say –
Got our project done this far today;
Now it’s time to plug it in, turn on
All the precious insight we have won.Lord, I thank You for this shift in place;
For a break from pressing on by grace;
Thank You for this Kingdom-layer above,
Giving me Your place from which to love.Thanks Lord for this.
