"War" (Judges 9:19 etc. ) [Northern Kingdom - Time Insights Series #3

War, with destruction, wastes a lot of time
In going to battle, cleaning up the mines;
While soldiers dead and buried are no more,
And wounded line the wards from door to door.

Old satan comes to steal, to kill, destroy,
At home, at war, removes our little boys;
Makes mess of lives, time waster for them too,
Revenge, and tit-for-tat takes not a few.

We must address the hassles which rise up,
Which we don’t start, but must say, “Hold, enough!”
So block them in – like me when first in town,
When they attacked – for I was up, was down.

Unlike successor – he had friends who stood
With him in scuffle in our neighborhood;
Still, though he won and kept his job, he lost
A lot of time once he became the boss.

This town (at least) has way of doing life
Which ruckus is, humongous is there strife;
“A hopeless little church in hopeless town”;
Guess what I got – prayer answered – blows me down!

Thanks Lord for this.
