"The Life Cycle" [Reflections on Book Capitalism Is Fallen, Elwin Kettner - Chap. 6B - Environment]

Four laws are basic from the first
On planet Earth, once given birth,
To live one-twenty years of time –
We’re part of solar-life sublime.

As energy to chaos shifts,
New sunlight, life to new height lifts;
It’s not destroyed, created – changed,
And shifted, mostly rearranged.

So sunlight’s energy bombards
Our planet’s surface (somewhat large),
Which kicks off cycles making trees,
And oxygen which people need.

We eat the plants and breathe the air,
Suck out the solar-power there;
Then breathe the CO-2 for plants
The cycles giving life its chance.

But pushing cycles to “produce”
Throws balance off through such abuse;
Augmenting soil with the solar oil
Then ruins rivers; lakes it spoils.

So planting trees is tiny start
We each can do, to do our part;
Cut down our carbon use – instead,
Find other ways – or we’ll be dead.

Thanks Lord for this.
