"Intro – If It Were Only That Simple" [Reflections on Book Capitalism Is Fallen, Elwin Kettner - Intro]

My stomach churns, and blood? It boils
As I read on – where were his foils?
“Too easy” and “Too simple” – “Schmuck!”
“Not true, but preaches well, this muck”.

As ideal, they had centuries
To clean things – penitentiaries
Are not to make rich penitent,
But poor, who steal to pay the rent.

“Get job, career, one of your choice;”
“Vote in the rep who speaks your voice;”
Yeah, right – but I do not agree –
Abuses all around I see.

If system can’t control its fringe,
Be fair to all, contain the binge,
Then rectify itself in crash,
Then don’t be fooled by rich man’s stash.

It’s “power” that’s left unspoken here,
Without a hint (to make it clear?) –
Big guns; disease; recovery time;
Has shifted wealth from “Yours” to “Mine”.

“Incentivize entrepreneurs” –
Judas economy for sure,
That’s what we have here in this land,
Which most folks do not understand.

I question if ten fixes would
Bring system up to where one could
Participate, live life out well,
Escape their present form of hell.

At any rate, I’ll press on through,
See what he says we each could do
To fix, at least for me and mine,
Our system – fix with bailing twine.

Thanks Lord for this.
