"Imperfect Steps"

Lord, as this week progresses – one day into its seven,
We now have come to Monday, on Kingdom’s layer of heaven;
I find I’m not that good at my walking on this turf,
At least it has no boundaries or blockages – so verse –

Can flow about all aspects of world beneath our feet
(Through plastic-layer to turmoil where folks all meet defeat);
So lots of subject matter emerges for my rhyme,
And I can just enjoy it – get on with things just fine.

But walking is a problem – maturity’s the same
As when I walked the world’s streets, and dancing was my game;
It’s not I’m so much smarter, all gifts within my frame –
The barriers have melted, as we live in Your name.

Less grace to deal with neighbors (attacks held back by glass);
Less grace now to sustain us, with tempest-days now past;
But living in God’s Kingdom adjustments are required,
Like weight-less in a moon-walk – not in earth’s gumbo mired.

So Lord, I ask for patience without, as well, within,
As this fresh week is starting, and we fresh tasks begin;
Grace us to move on forward with courage to step forth,
Above this frozen section of Canada, of course.

Thanks Lord for this.
