“Three solitudes”
Unlike the French
With English Canada;
I think
It’s like the rest –
It is our way,
Like siloed grain,
Alone we stay.

The government
Could stimulate
Joint ventures,
With the ones
Who think,
Along with
Venture-loving boys
With funds
And access to
The toys.

Or maybe
They could
Buy from home,
Prefer as vendors
Those who hone
Their skills –
Work off their
Debts – such load
From higher Ed.
That costly road.

I think it best
That I should check
The Yanks,
Who legislate
And get
A preference
In the trading game,
So winners
In the end remain.
