"Anne Bolyn" [Sun Tsu #6-5] (I Cor. 10:14; 6:18; I Tim. 6:9-11; Luke 21:34-36; I Thes.5:1-3; Matt.24:15-35)]

One scene depicted in a film I saw,
Showed Anne Boleyn beheaded – she was tall –
A blindfold – kneeling, upright stance;
The swordsman silent in that ending dance.

So subtle, skillful, left, then right he went;
Switch-hitter he, as she to heaven sent;
So formless in his presence, stealth-full ways;
A rustle, footstep, shift – quick end to days.

He learned, became, approached such formlessness
In secret art divine – it’s substance thus
Was hidden, so it scarce appeared at all,
The point of this – quick kill for King – so small.

Sun Tzu said this – be secretive in acts
Of war, as you prepare for your attack;
Invisible, mysterious, inaudible, like mind
Divine itself – yet power thus we find.

We learn to be, become, attain the point
Of Spirit’s wisp of wind, as God anoints
Our tasks with His strong presence, there, unseen –
Through us foe’s fate is sealed – so it has been.

For He directs, as Master of all life,
The world’s encounters – there within the strife
He holds our hands, which hold another’s fate,
Engaging, life with life, to arbitrate.

Unhampered in advance, they can’t withstand,
As He, in us strikes weak points, man to man;
He plunges, pushes through appearing gaps,
For vacuous their sectors where He acts.

He makes for weakness – rushing enemy;
But bear in mind – foe copies what he sees;
“Sometimes, Christ says, “it’s time to leave the scene,
With speed of light, retreat from where you’ve been”.

For he who stays in Christ quite safe will be;
Pursuing foes cannot entrap, can’t see,
Or overtake withdrawal, as you achieve
Retirement from the field, elusive leave.

Speed’s of the essence as you then depart;
“More rapid than the enemy’s” a start –
Unmatchable your movements swiftly go
Unsurpassable the skill you thus will show.

“Idolatry”, Paul says, “best quickly flee;
With money, sex (as immorality);
With dissipation don’t get weighted down,
So, fleeing scene, you need not wait around.

But Christ will come, though no one knows the date;
So be on guard, engage, while you await;
That He find you about your given task,
When He appears – fast as a lightning flash.

Thanks Lord for this.
