"Visual Literacy " [Photographic Communication #2] [Photo Index # 3: 2 ] [Community Contribution Set Of Poems]
It helps to know a picture’s way,
When it is seen to shift and sway
The hearts, and minds, and spirits too,
Of viewing folks, like me and you.We speak of getting literate
In terms of words – because of it
We now say that of visual,
Like words – quite loose, or literal. One man said, start with people there
Who interact, expressing care
With symbol of some part of life,
In fitting setting – day or night. Those things, he said, will help your pix –
Make pictures pop, each error fix;
Success is ’bout a proper mix
Of those four things, or else its nixed.Art-form, unused for greater part,
Lies there untapped for you to start
Expressing photographically
A world within, and what you see.As you depict the world you’re in,
You bring your half – a chat begins –
Each viewer brings a half as well,
As hearts engage, and yarns we tell. Thanks Lord for this.
