My role in social life it seems to me,
Is staying where I am, and just to be
The person God brought to some place of praise,
And by authentic actions, questions raise.You said that you felt bad from what you said
To me; (I pointed out) our souls you fed;
Our kids are grown; your challenges each day
To us now lie behind, so far away.We have the challenge age brings to the fore,
Like raising kids, we’ve not done this before;
As eyesight fails; and memory is short;
For some our time runs out before our work.But you face battles foreign to our minds;
We need your input, you to us were kind,
But desperate also out there in “Your war”
Where you, like us, have never gone before.As all become aware of issues faced
By parents, children, growing in this place,
We then can bring assurance, word, and prayer;
And sometimes we can “practically” be there.I’m glad to hear your family will stay ’round;
Once shake-up’s done new graces will be found
To meet the challenge brought each dawning day
To all of us – so, vital that we stay –In touch – and pictured-words – give some away
To speak our deepest thoughts, and have our say
Within chaotic world, sometimes at war –
