Best Practice #4 – Be Selective And Demanding [Photo Index : 1:4] [Community Contribution Set Of Poems]

We make the shift from “T” to “M”, then something shifts inside –
We think ahead, before we shoot, we take a mental ride;
We start to care, and then insist that quality rise up;
Not satisfied with careless work, we shift to plans from luck.

We plan, we shoot, we check results, then plan and shoot again;
“Take-two,” “take-three,” ring out from us, we get to be a pain;
But in re-shooting, culling out our duds so people see
Our vision in its excellence, top workers we shall be.

Start out with focus of your work in some small specialty
Where content’s known, and you can learn your skill-set, and be freed
To work within the limits of a piece of life you know –
At least that part is excellent wherever you may go.

Shoot and re-shoot until your work within your special space,
Is at the top of excellence, for part in any case;
Then push out to some other sphere where you long to explore –
Shoot and re-shoot until your work in that space tells you more.

Now “making” photos rises up as way we use our head;
We think ahead so excellence will grace first rounds instead
Of shooting and reshooting – we get better all along –
Top quality our output then becomes our happy song.

Thanks Lord for this.
