"The Kingdom Layer" [Module#382] (John 15:2-20)
The Kingdom-layer, above the world that is,
Both vertical and horizontal is;
Both sides are there, a healthy mix of two,
With Spirit’s power lived out in world by you.The Kingdom-layer (diagonal some say),
Resolves the glitch, lets us get on our way,
By giving space to live and love at will,
Not hampered by folks wishing we’d be still.And then again we rise above raw power,
Inflicted on our neighbors hour by hour;
Christ washed their feet, refreshed them as He does
For us today, through those who join His cause.It seems that Judas could not leave behind
His troubled past, which twisted up his mind;
Christ knew that well, that he would be the one
Who would betray Him once the night had come.We all have pasts we need to leave behind;
As Jesus said, “Be washed soul, body, mind”,
Then day by day, in life on Kingdom-layer
Become refreshed to be effective players.It’s God in fact to heals, restores, forgives,
Yet through each one, we feel in each He lives;
Open our eyes to see you on the street;
Be seen in us by neighbors when we meet.Thanks Lord for this.
