Success brings now, for both anoint
Our actions with an aspect rich
As we help others from the ditch.But then, we turn to self instead
Ask, “What of me before I’m dead?
Is there some task (or tasks) to do
Which now must occupy my view?I think so – it’s just there one day –
Tree-trimmers wake to self they say,
“It’s done, no more will I go up
A tree – for me, enough’s enough”.And then were done – no more for us;
We’ve had our innings – no more fuss
And bother of the day to day;
“That’s it – I’m done – I’m on my way.”Thanks Lord for this.
