"And So..."
And so – what do I think from here?
Five days now past, emotions cleared
Of over-play – in past blocked out
Of interchange – no talk about –The issues which affect us all
(Defined by group as, “Us – that’s all”)
Why should I be involved with them,
And help them to their course amend?I looked around most heads were gray;
The younger folks all stayed away;
Solution – “Trim unneeded waste
Like staff, supplies, thus real-world face”.I said it right – “Just dump the joint;
We need not such small views anoint
With building new, worth 1.9;
Get cardboard box – do out the time.“Sell off this marvel to the ones
Whose deep desire seeks Kingdom come”;
Without a vision people fade,
The Good Book says – that’s not delayed –By hanging on too long – let go –
Let others thrive, we Jesus know,
And that’s sufficient, get some guy
To bury us when each one dies.That needs no travel, gas expense,
No yearly PD, conference;
No double staff for younger folk –
Send them elsewhere, take up some yoke –With those who want to fix the world,
Or push for holiness (absurd);
We’re quite content – get organ fixed,
And let the drums be quickly blixed.Such is their “vision” – small their view;
Revolving door is part there too –
Folks come, folks go – “It’s tribal here –
Of which I’m not a part – that’s clear”Some imports can be grafted in
As a transfer growth, they can begin
To do the tasks we can’t hire out;
We’ll use them ’till there is no doubt –In their minds, “This quite crazy is –
This twisted, codependent biz;
I’m getting out; I’m moving on;
Enough of this; I’m out – I’m gone”But “Kingdom plane” gives different view
To me, as I engage with you –
I do not have to hesitate
Or for their welcome years await –For net that’s drawn has fish and fowl;
Don’t worry in the meantime, now
Use shelter here within the dome
To make the Kingdom-layer home.Then each can work salvation out
In light of Christ, who’s Lord, no doubt
At all that He, with Spirit’s boost,
Will help some folks to layered roost.Thanks Lord for this.
